Maintenance Manager

Description:Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing work assignments and projects as well as assisting in the maintenance of the Environment of Care and Joint Commission documentation.

Duties:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Able to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure reliable operation of physical plant and clinic equipment.
• Evaluate equipment facilities, safety issues, and system problems and develop a plan of action.
• Evaluate equipment and manpower needs.
• Knowledge and understanding of building, electrical, and life safety codes and their application to the healthcare industry.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multi-level or numerous projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of medical and physical plant equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to manage resources and materials.
• Knowledgeable of the seven chapters of the Environment of Care.
• Assisting Director with Emergency Management.
• Understanding of budget development, management, and control.
• Develops and maintains an organizational structure and staffing schedules.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Takes care of minor repairs and installations.
• General handyperson duties as assigned.
• May perform housekeeping duties.
• Changes light bulbs, ceiling panels, etc., as needed.
• Maintains vehicles in good working condition by keeping maintenance schedule including monthly oil change.
• Responsible for set-up of tables and chairs for meetings and trainings.
• Rotates duty of answering alarms after hours.
• Serves as courier.
• Accountable for time sensitive information to be delivered to center or other agencies in a timely manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college is preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in a healthcare environment.
• Means of transportation with a current valid Texas driver’s license and minimum liability insurance.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Experience with Joint Commission Accreditation.
