|Description:||Ensures that facilities are properly maintained; also serves as courier between clinics and/or other health related agencies.|
SUPERVISION: Directly supervised by the Director of Plant Operations and/or Lead Maintenance.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires stooping, bending, lifting etc. May require moving up to 80 pounds. Some outside maintenance work required. Requires the use of maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, vacuum cleaner, floor buffer, etc.
|Duties:|| Takes care of minor repairs and installations.|
General handyperson duties as assigned.
May perform housekeeping duties.
Changes light bulbs, ceiling panels, etc., as needed.
Maintains vehicles in good working condition by keeping maintenance schedule including monthly oil change.
Responsible for set-up of tables and chairs for meetings and trainings.
Rotates duty of answering alarms after hours.
Serves as courier.
Accountable for time sensitive information to be delivered to center or other agencies in a timely manner.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to maintain a valid Texas Driver License and a good driving record.
Skill in minor repairs.
Ability to understand and follow simple written and oral instruction.
Ability to communicate in writing and orally in English or Spanish.
|Qualifications:|| High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.|
Two years experience in maintenance duties in a clinical setting preferred.
