|Description:||Performs administrative and advanced professional accounting work. Monitors and assists with the overall financial operations of the Center by maintaining all accounting transactions by funding source. Responsible for month end closings by funding source and assures all reporting requirements are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Assists in the preparation of internal and external required reporting.|
SUPERVISION: Directly supervised by the Controller.
|Duties:|| Monitors general ledger activity by funding source.|
Checks accounting operations daily and reviews for performance accuracy.
Reviews monthly expenditures and generates monthly in-house Financial Status Reports by funding source.
Prepares all month end, quarterly and year end state funding or other funding reports.
Assists with classifying, coding, posting and balancing internal financial accounting documents and reports.
Monitors equipment tagging and transfers.
Monitors the fiscal warehouse and assists in overseeing the shipping/receiving department.
Assists in monitoring and reconciling monthly accounts receivable report.
Responsible for monitoring and reconciling Centers credit cards.
Assists with preparation of annual Uniform Data System (UDS) report.
Assists in providing and generating information needed for preparation of the annual filing of form 990.
Assists with generating internal cost reports for annual FQHC Medicare cost report.
Performs accounting analysis for certain projects or grants as assigned.
Assists with closing General Ledger at year end.
Assists with the preparation of documentation for annual audit.
Assists with inventory of supplies.
Assists with annual inventory of equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
|Qualifications:|| Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or Management Accounting required. |
Masters Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or Management preferred.
Experience in governmental accounting and/or governmental agency budgetary controls preferred.
