|Description:||Greeter welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors entering the Center. Greeters working in this capacity answer questions, provide information and direct people to the Center location they need, thus creating an atmosphere in the Center that is caring, yet efficient.|
|Duties:|| Greet and acknowledge all patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner and provide the quick, responsive customer service and information necessary to result in a meaningful visit. |
Provide hospitality services to patients, visitors, and employees while adhering to HIPAA regulations and the mission and vision of Gateway Community Health Center, Inc.
Proactively identifies operations needing improvement and collaborates with all departments to ensure optimal lobby operations and patients services.
Responds quickly to patient/visitors requests, obtaining answers to questions regarding non-clinical information.
Knowledgeable about Centers services and is adept at providing the centers address, directions to/from the center, and other relevant information about the center to patients/visitors.
Ensure each patient and visitor received outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and thanking each patient and visitor.
Alert Maintenance Staff of any spills, hazards, or shortages of supplies in the restrooms.
Maintain the cleanliness of the lobbies and surrounding areas.
Coordinate lost and found
Assist patients in calling for transportation. (i.e. el metro, taxi, adult day care, and/or family members)
Makes survey calls and visits lobbies to offer patients to complete a survey.
Position in key areas and rounds in the defined area to help direct patients and visitors to the appropriate place or person.
Utilize good judgment to respond in a calm and efficient manner in all situations.
Answers the telephone according to policy and transfers calls appropriately.
Schedules appointments for Registration and/or with PCP when necessary for new and established clients.
Identify client using three identifiers (i.e. name, DOB and address).
Keeps working area clean and organized.
Ensures availability of wheelchair services to incoming and outgoing patients and visitors and escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within the facility.
Maintains a log with information of all visitors, asks for a valid ID, and provides the visitors with a Visitor badge.
Attends and participates in staff development trainings.
Assist in the training of other employees as needed.
Keeps supervisor informed of departmental issues.
|Qualifications:|| Graduate from an accredited high school or GED graduate.|
Two years technical/vocational school or three year experience in this field preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
